The Chamber Orchestra Stringendo, Pöcking

The Chamber Orchestra Stringendo was founded on the initiative of Esther Schoepf in order to offer young violinists (including her own students) the opportunity to gain experience playing in an orchestra. Accordingly, she can prepare the students for the rehearsals of the respective works.

In collaboration with the conductor and pianist Norbert Groh, a chamber orchestra was formed that primarily presents oratorios and liturgical music and repeatedly receives high acclaim. The orchestra regularly performs together with the combined choirs of St. Pius, Pöcking and „ars musica“, Ottobrunn. Their repertoire includes Mozart´s „Mass in C minor“ and „Requiem“, J.S. Bach´s „Christmas Oratorio“, J.Haydn´s „The Creation“, and „Elijah“ by F. Mendelssohn.

The members of the orchestra are young, talented musicians mostly from the region southwest of Munich. Rehearsals take place depending on the current project. The orchestra´s primary goal is the advancement of young musicians. For further information contact Esther Schoepf.
